Short bio:
My name is Suzanna Logotheti. I am a Biologist, Researcher, and Adjunct Lecturer at the Department of Medicine, University of Patras. My research focuses on prostate cancer—which remains the most common and the second deadliest visceral cancer in men—and on epigenetics, with the aim of improving diagnosis and monitoring disease progression in prostate cancer patients.
I have served as a researcher for two years at the world’s leading cancer center, MD Anderson Cancer Center, The University of Texas, Houston, USA. There, I was trained in and transferred expertise related to the development of patient-derived xenografts (PDXs), animal models carrying human tumors. These models allow for three-dimensional and real-time study of human cancers.
It is my pleasure to engage in both group and individual discussions with those interested in learning more about cancer research and the use of animal models in scientific studies.
