Short bio:

Sotiria Makri is an Environmental Engineer and a graduate of the Department of Environmental Management and Natural Resources at the University of Ioannina. She completed the Master’s Program in Biotechnology – Food Quality and Environment and holds a PhD from the University of Thessaly, focusing on the impact of biofunctional animal feeds on the health of production animals.

She is currently working as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Laboratory of Physiology of Animal Organisms, Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, University of Thessaly. She has co-authored 17 articles published in international peer-reviewed scientific journals.

Together with the students, she will discuss topics related to our environment, waste management methods, and the life of a researcher.
