Researchers’ Night

Researchers’ Night is a European initiative held in over 400 cities across Europe, aiming to promote the value of research and science.

In Greece, seven cities, dozens of researchers and scientists, universities, and research centers collaborate throughout the year to organize initiatives and events that bring research and science closer to the public. These activities culminate on the last Friday of September with the main Researchers’ Night events!

On Friday, September 26, 2025, researchers and scientists will welcome visitors of all ages into the fascinating world of research. Events will take place in Thessaloniki, Athens, Larissa, Patras, Heraklion, Rethymno, and Mytilene. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience live interactive experiments, enjoy research-themed games and artistic performances, explore technological exhibitions, and meet distinguished researchers and scientists in person.

In the Heart of a Researcher

During researchers’ night, ten scientists shared insights into their fields, passions, and impact, guided by kostis kotsonis’ questions, against a nostalgic backdrop of a 1948 ford and a pop art triptych.
