Musical Acoustics - Psychoacoustics

In the tenth and final episode of The Heart of the Researcher, Kostis Kotsonis interviews Konstantinos Pastiadis, an associate professor at the Department of Music Studies at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a visiting professor at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. With expertise in acoustics and signal processing, Professor Pastiadis has been intrigued since childhood by the properties of physical and musical sounds. He has delved into psychoacoustics and music psychology, focusing on how the human brain perceives and processes sound stimuli and melodies. Additionally, he serves as the technology director at HeaArtTec, a company working to optimize hearing aids tailored to individual patient needs.
