As a child, Thaleia often wondered, “what are computers and numbers really saying?”—a curiosity that eventually guided her studies. After graduating from the National Technical University of Athens, she completed her PhD in the United States, focusing on the use of machine learning to optimize operating systems. Today, she is an Assistant Professor in Spain and a member of the Greek Women in STEM initiative. Through this organization, she works to showcase and support Greek women scientists, with the goal of reducing the gender gap in science and creating more role models for young girls.
